How to tell if you have a SMPTE card installed in EXpression 3

The most visable sign that SMPTE is installed on your console is the presence of a socketed chip on the face panel to the bottom left of the X-Y Encoder Wheels (U54). There are other bits on the console that make SMPTE work, but that is the easiest to identify.

If that chip is missing and you need SMPTE to work, you will need to contact a dealer about bringing your console back to ETC for an upgrade.
