ETC Element vs. Insight 2

I have a show file that is currently stored on an ETC Element, where it was actually created and run. Will I be able to open and use that same show file on an Insight 2?

  • No, Insight does not understand Element show files.

    You will need to export the file from the Element as USITT ASCII, then use Expression Offline on a Windows PC to convert the USITT ASCII into an Expression file.

    However, Element has a *lot* more features than Insight, so you will probably need to re-write some parts of the show.

    You will probably get intensities and timing in the cuelist, but not much more.
    Be sure to check the show before trying to run it!
