Pumping output... when using wing..

Hello all

A problem I already see once in a while fo many years:

Cues which are played from the wing are pumping about 5% up and down on the HTP-channels.. same cue on the console is fine... also fast movements on the faders the cue resp. the HTP-output gets stuck.. same cue on the console: no problem...

This problem shows up, once in a while and disappears, as it comes.. really strange.
I've seen this on several consoles...

Anyone seen anything like this?

I've seen some things related to this on H3....but never H2.

Have you tried a different 5-pin cable linking the wing to the console?

Are the console, wing, and all your fixtures on the same electrical ground?

Hello, do you have a terminator in the Expansion port of the Wing?

There may also possibly be a faulty or dirty fader as well, one can effect all of them. You can look in the console's Event Monitor and see if the faders are responding properly. You may see one or more jumping around in here. You can disconnect them one at a time and try to isolate the dirty or faulty fader. The faders do come apart easily and can be cleaned with warm water.
