Linking Hog 2 for additional Playbacks

The company I work for recently purchases two Hog IIs. Not wanting to test my bosses patience(or his wallet) I am trying to find the simplest method of adding additional playbacks to the console without having to resort to purchasing a playback wing right away. I have skimmed through the manual and the forum and realize that yes, this is possible using different midi devices and through the input option... However, how would I go about connecting the two Hog II's together so that both of their playback sections would be availiable independent of eachother. Any advice, hesitations, techniques, or laughs at my ignorance would be appreciated...

  • Blake,

Although this is not what you're going to want to hear, you actually can do this with Hog OS products (aka Hog 3 platform). If you have two Hog OS consoles on a network, you can log one of them on to the other as a client and you could, effectively, add a bunch of playbacks.

I can't help you with the wing. They are a bit tough to find. Be sure to check gearsource.com. They often have leads on stuff like that. (Just be sure you aren't buying a USB playback wing for Hog OS)

    Good Luck!
