I've been around a Hog3 almost every day for the past 4 years now. I know the ins and outs of it pretty well. I just got a new gig at a venue with a Hog 1000. They have a decent count of fixtures (High End of course :-)) so I really want to have some fun with them. I just want to see if anyone has any suggestions for the best way to run my show on the fly. Do I record the different looks onto the playback masters and stack them on top of each other? Is the palette system as functional as it is on the Hog3? What are some major differences between the two effects engines (do I still have all the same parameters as on the Hog3?)? I've started to read the manual but the screenshots that would answer my questions seem to be few and far between. Thanks a lot for anyone who is able to offer some insight!! :notworthy:
The biggest difference is that you can't create effects on the 1000, you can edit existing effects, but you cannot create your own... as the 1000 has a mini effects engine. you are best off if you have a computer with you to create the effects you are looking for in Hog PC, then you can edit them in the 1000.
