Memory

I can't seem to find information anywhere about memory on a Hog 1k. I cold start the console often, but I am just wondering at what point is it important to do so? and how much memory should the console start with after being cold started.



on a similar note, I have a festival coming up, I will be using the same moving lights I have been using but new LED fixtures. does it make sense for me to start from scratch or since I will be making the same palettes and cues for the movers just use the same show keeping the movers and delete everything else?

    it don`t make the console faster, you just can store more Cuelists and stuff, but the floppy disk contains just 1,4 MB, so when your show can be stored on 1 Disk, it dont make sense to have more memory in the console.

    While I have not run into the situation, I was under the impression (based on the docs) that when you maxed out 1 disk, it would spill to a second. Considering that the Hog2 family console show disks are nothing more than flat files, there is no reason why not . . .

    And I immediately put the extra memory into both my ex Hog-500 and 1000 . . . if nothing else, if you have memory leakage, it gives you more overhead. That, and it's cheap enough, why not?
