Hi I was wondering if there is a way to set a maximum output level in hog 2 pc. I am using a bunch of your standard incandescent fixtures, and would like to just set the maximum output to 90% so the bulbs are never actually at 100%. I know that if I needed a quick and easy way to do it I could just bring the grand master down, but I was wondering if the Hog 2PC software had something built in where I could just tell the program to only let lights reach 90% or even set that on specific fixtures. Thanks for your help!
This is very easy to do. In the patch window, select the fixture or desk channel and then press the "Reduce to %" button on the bottom toolbar. Then enter the max value you want it to achieve. You will still be able to adjust the fixture on the screens from 0-100%, but the actual output will be limited by whatever your setting is.
This is explained in the Wholehog 2 user manual on page 112 and is known as "Proportional Patching".
