HOG 1000 - MAC 700 Profile Library (Please Help)

You can use the Hog 2 Library Disk generator page.

Check the box from the fixture you need and hit
"Generate Library Disk Files"
Store the file to you computer and unzip it.
Put all the files on a floppy disc and load it into your Hog1000.

I tried that and then followed

to add it into my current show but now when I try to load the show I get something is not compatible.

So in _.LIB.LIB I have

version = 40
count = 1

followed by the MAC 700 Basic fixture library. Not sure if this has anything to do with it but our HOG says WholeHog II v3.3, FIxture Library 5.4

Edit: error I received was "fixture type could not be found"

Try to copy the _lib.lib file from the downloaded Library folder directly to your Show disc and overwrite the original one.

Hey Andre. I tried that and I receive the following message in a dialogue box "The file is incompatible with this version of the software. Load has aborted." followed by in an alert box "Can't find fixture type"

Upon looking into this further, it looks like it's stuffing up because of \SETUPS\FIXTURE.DAT

I have also tried to add the _LIB and fixture.txt to LIBRARY but on load I still receive the incompatible error with this version, cannot find fixture type. fixture.dat is somehow stuffing it up. I even tried loading those LIBRARY folder files on to a known working disk.

I had profile problems on my Hog 1000 but what I did, first of all, was get rid of the floppy drive by purchasing a USB to floppy converter, about $120.00 on EBay, and put it in place of the floppy, now you can transfer files. Once that was compleat I saved the current show, onto my new USB memory stick, and transphered it onto my windows platform CPU, will no work on apple computers, then in text editor I wrote the new profile myself. Then i added it to my saved profile library, save it to the stick, then upload it to the hog. Best thing is it worked great. To learn there language I just copy and past from other profiles and tweek from there. Thinking of opening a web for the down loads, but really once everything is in place it's really easy to do yourself just get rid of that floppy drive. Rock.
