on fist boot desk says

From reading your earlier comment the BIOS battery might be failing

I would also try recreating the floppy disk. The "Echelon (Compact) Boot loader rev1.8 Ram fitted 2MB Verifying program in flash" part of the message is normal the "...bad" is the error

Hi, thanks for you help, i got the disks to load, by doing a power cycle when it failed.

Will look up the battery as prob worth changing anyways.

Desk now seams stuck at the open screen, screen says Hog 100 Clean start has , new show and load show at the top but i cant work out how to select them, i dont currently have a mouse as have lost the adapter, but didnt think you had to use a mouse?

You should be able to use the buttons around the display to select the options
