DP2000 malfunction

Hey All,
A few weeks ago, I bought a used DP2000 and while using it on a show, it shut down without warning, dumping the look on stage. The LCD backlight was blinking rapidly and the display was blank as if it was trying to reboot itself over and over.
After changing the power cord, it seemed to work alright, but I swapped it for my other processor just in case.
I have since updated the software on my Hog 3 and my DPs to the latest version, performing a clean install.
Today, after another 100+ hours of service, same thing. Changing to a brand new power cord had no positive effect.
I guess it's time for my DP to visit Texas, but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

  • John,

It sounds to me like you have a loose connection somewhere. Since you bought the DP2000 used, it would probably be a good idea to send the unit to us. We can track down and fix the problem that you're seeing and then send the DP over to our QC group to give it a more general health check. If you'd like to do this, you can send an email to support@flyingpig.com and include the serial number of the DP. They can get an RMA set up and make sure your DP is in good working order.
