Networking consoles

Someone refresh my memory. When you have two consoles on the same network and I select some fixtures on one, do those fixtures show up on both of the consoles programmers or just the one that the fixtures were selected on? The one time I've done this, I do remember the playbacks being the same, I just couldn't remember if programming is the same...like group directories and such. How much of the window layout is the same on the two consoles? Can someone break this down for me?

Thank You,
Parents
  • Scott,

Each console has its own programmer.
Since the consoles use one common show file, all of your group, palette, list, scene, and view directories will have the same items in the same places. Deleting an object on one console will remove it from the other console.

When working within the show file, the two consoles can operate separately. They can be on different pages with different views recalled and different fixtures in their programmers.

    I hope this helps.
