I also would like to see an FX editor for the 3. Besides the ability to create and retime waveforms, some way of drawing our own patterns and having them loaded as waveforms would be great. There was an outside person that did this for the Hog 2. I would be willing to pay to get one for the hog 3 software versions.
I'd have to agree as well. Being able to do nice effects / fans with the color / gobo wheels without pretending im in LCD controller land would be awesome.
well, wouoldn't it be wiser to make that offline fx editor "online"? why not just make the efx generator in the desk better? Custom curves would be great! and also the ability to apply them to dimmercurves(i've missed that one many times)
I'm missing an easy way to build color effects, now if I want to make a nice color fade between two colors I need to check CMY values of the colors, then use the value between them as a base value, calculate how many percentage is the effect size, adjust the offset and finally fan the effect.
All this just to have a nice fade between two colors.
Personally I don't find it very hard to do this in the FX engine, but if it seems cumbersome to you why not just build a chase and trigger it with a comment macro?

To do that (and other things) i asked few times ago to have an Fx engine where you could have table between two palettes.
Yep. It's actually been logged for a while. The plan is to build a curve editor that would let you build curves to be used for effects tables, dimmer profiles, crossfade paths, etc. You may remember that Hog 2 v4.0 beta had a similar feature.
Great news, Tom. I was talking about this with one of my Hog3 user friends a couple of a days ago. Crossfade paths editor was one of our requests.
We were also talking about fanning curve, which I requested about a year ago. forums.highend.com/showpost.php?p=15891&postcount=27
I've noticed that Clarity will have pretty much similar fanning curve possibilities I've been thinking openclear.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=51&Itemid=65
The same curve editor could be used for creating different delay times for different parameters.
For example so, that on y-axis you could specify the delay time and to x-axis you could assign the fixtures or groups and graphically create a curve. The program would then pick up from the curve the delay times for individual fixtures.
I'm very excited about this. It will add so much- I was just going crazy trying to make a crazy color wheel chase the other day and was thinking "I could do it in hog ii" lol :hogsign:
