Martin Show Designer<>HOG3 connecion issue

Hi guys,

There seems to be an issue trying to connect HOG3/HOG3 PC to MSD (in my case, on the same PC).

The HOG III Connectivity application will not initiate, unless:
1. MSD is configured with the HOG3 PC driver.
2. Needs to restart your PC.
3. Launch MSD Offline (for example).
4. Launch HOG3 PC.

HOG III Connectivity application is now able to connect to MSD, but:
1. Random DMX values are being transmitted all the time to MSD, causing Pan/Tilt (and other attributes) to randomly changes their position..
2. If any other MSD module is opened, you get an 'Application needs to be closed' error message.

This issue has been discussed for a while now on the MSD forum:
www.martin.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12742

Some tests has been made by the MSD team at Lighthouse Holland, and it seems the problem is with the HOG III Connectivity application. The relevant persons had been notified by Lighthouse, with no reply yet (as far as I know).

Are you guys aware of this problem? Is there a solution in a process?

Thanks in advance,

  • Hi, I have a pc with Martín Show Designer and Flying Pigs Hog III working on the same PC without any kind of problems, a friend of me made some modifications to a copy of Microsoft Windows XP, I use the latest versions of MSD, Hog III, Connectivity, the firewall is the provided by the Windows, antivirus is NOD 32, sorry for the resolution, but I captured the video by a photo digital camera for low weight file purposes, you can see on the video the Hog III front panel moves from one monitor to another for to show the softwares are running on the same pc at the same time, the file is too heavy for attached here, but you can donwload it here, best regards.
