The current Wholehog user manual has this detailed in section 12.1.3 I have also pasted the information below. Note that ELO sometimes has multiple or different part numbers for the same monitors (as they change from region, etc).
Size ELO Model Description 17" ET1725L-7CWF-1-G AccuTouch 2216 series 17" ET1725L-7UWF-1 Accutouch 3000 series 17" ET1739L-8CWA-3-G IntelliTouch 2700 series 12" ET1229L-7UWA-1 Accutouch 3000 series 12" ET1215L-7CWA-1-G AccuTouch 1000 Series 12" ET1229L-8UWA-1 IntelliTouch 2500 Series 12" ET1229L-7CWA-1-ZBD-G AccuTouch 2216 series
You can also purchase monitors direct from HES and our dealers: www.highend.com/products/controllers/touchscreenmonitor.asp
ELO also makes a couple of models that aren't in the manual. I have a couple of 19" ELO Touchscreens. There model number is ET1915L-7CWA-1-G. I posted a photo so you can see the size comparison to the HOG III Monitors. Hope this helps.
The touchscreen drivers are specific to the controller used in the touchscreen, not the model itself. Touchscreens that use controllers that are already supported (2216, 2500, 3000, etc.) *should* work. The models that we list in the user manual are suggested because they are the models that we use for our testing and we can confirm that they behave the way that they should.
Both models will work and are supported. Then it really becomes a matter of personal preference. Here are descriptions of each: www.elotouch.com/Products/Touchscreens/AccuTouch/default.asp www.elotouch.com/Products/Touchscreens/IntelliTouch/default.asp
You can find a full list of supported ELO monitor types in the Wholehog user manual section 12.1.3.
ELO drivers are the key. doesn't matter the brand of touch screen. ELO is actually a pricey way to go. I use planar monitors with the ELO drivers without any problems and they are available through various sources to include DELL.
