quitting effects

HI folks:

Ive been running the youth show and have a break - -how do i get out of the effects engine if im running it live, instead of in cues and stuff, i was hitting some effects live in the show and couldnt get out except with a clear -- is there a better way?

    The other thing I do is make4 "custom" effects.

    Take all of my fixtures, enter the effects engine.

    Select the INT tab and choose OFF. Record this in the engine as "INT OFF"
    Clear things out and do the same thing with POS, BEAM and COL. I generally put these (for me at least) at Effect 101 through 104. That way I can type it on the command line at any time.

    Now, I can keep the window open and just turn off an intenesity effect or beam or whatever.
