Burning Updates with MacOS X

Has anyone tried and had success with burning Hog update .iso files with a Mac? I have Toast and it can burn .iso but I know that it is not an officially recommended method....

I burn .iso updates all the time straight from the Mac OS X Disk Utility.

I don't think I've ever had a problem with it.
