While in fixture builder, when ever you try to set the strobe attribute my board always crashes. Every other attribute seems to be ok except strobe. I have tried (and it has happened) on an iPC and 3PC (with the lastest version). Has anyone else had that problem or is it just me?!?!
I have had problems crashing the fixture builder too.
Mostly it was because I had built the fixture up through the lower channels (like Pan/Tilt/Intensity/...) and left the higher ones "Not used", then added it to my show to test it for just those.
Then I left it in the show and went back to finish it. Crash! Removing it from the show before editing it fixed the crashing.
Also, try changing the sequence with which you build the channels.
Usually the best option is to post your fixture request in the fixture request section of this forum. Then a proper library can be created and added to future software releases as well.
Sometimes the fixture builder can be a bit cranky as you discovered.
