Proper modifier syntax

Would someone mind writing the proper command line syntax that uses the '.' modifier to reset back to default? Having a little trouble w/ it. Any parameter w/ a default will suffice.... Thanks!

  • That's very easy to achieve.
Let put it this way, imagine you select fixture A and give it a position. To restore the default position you have to simply push the dot(.) button and hold it down and the position button and the same time. You may want to restore only pan or tilt. In this case use the modifier as above and spin the pan or tilt enconder. Alternatively you can use the dot pig combination that is slightly different but still restores your fixture to default values. This combination however doesn't restore to default mode those parameter slots which have a double option such as gobo<> ( index, rotate). In case you are in rotate mode it would restore your gobo rotation to 0rpm without necessari ly restoring the mode to index that is the very default mode. Hope this helps
