Road Hog DMX delay

I'm running a Road Hog ver. 2.6.0 (b 2071) on a 1.1.3 XPE Image and I am noticing a pretty good delay when doing bumps on the flash buttons.
I only have one DMX line connected to a 100' run of DMX from the console to the opto backstage. Nothing else is plugges into the console.
When I do a full Intensity bump on VL2500's there is a good 250ms delay between the time I press the flash button and the lights respond. All timings are set to Zero everywhere possible.

Has anyone else experienced this delay?

  • Hey Andris,

No...ther screens should maintain their calibration after re-starts, etc.... Is it very far off or just a little bit off?

As for the delay....I've never seen it like that....what type of opto are you going through?

Have you tried a different console to be sure that it is not an issue with the VLs? (the dimmer flags are REALLY bad on all the VL 2000, 2500, 3000, & 3500 units b/c they use a single graduated wheel......just try doing a 30% to zero intensity fade over the course of 1 minute with a sharp edge and you will see what I mean....otherwise they are good units)
