HogIII Effect Palette

So my LD and I are having a little disagreement... I've looked all over to find a definitive answer, but have had no luck.

Our HogII system had a bunch of, what we thought were, stock effects. Things like multi part intensity effects and stuff... Perhaps these weren't stock, but they were there when we started using it, and no one seems to think they were all manually created.

So the discussion is, assuming these were stocked in HogII, are they also available for HogIII, or do we have to build them ourselves?

The second part of that question... Are there place online where there might be libraries of effects that can be downloaded and installed? There seem to be too many variables to make that feasible, but I'm supposed to ask...

Anyways, quick clarification would be great. Just to settle the debate.

Thanks,

  • What jmsait19 may be referring to is the old (pre V3) Hog 2 Effect Engine Pallettes. It's part of my H2 startup disk, and I think I merged it from a V2 show some time ago. It's been a long time, but I'm pretty sure that this was there on older versions of software, before the Engine allowed Parts to be specified in the effects table. If memory serves, V3 of H2 brought these changes - is this around the time the libraries were set in ROM?

It has 'Clear All', and Multi-Part Effects for Intensity (Step and Fade), Circles as well and Fly In / Out Etc.

Anyway, whenever I use a H2, I always use these. I agree that a variety of Pre-built Multi Part effects is something I miss in the 3 - although as Marty states you can always create these using the flexibility of Groups and buddying.
