FB with DP2k and network switch

hi gents,
when i connected a full boar console over a network switch to a dpor two dp s .Must I take across over cable or not??or maybe

    If you go directly to the DP you need a crossed cable....If you go through a switch you need straight cables.

    Make sure you are setting your DPs to a Net# of 3 or higher as well as #1 & #2 are reserved for the interanl processes that handle widgets.
