If your DP 2000 is working with an older software version but not with 2.6, it is possible the DP 2000 did not get updated to v2.6 as it needs the same software version as the console.
You can look in the Control Panel of the DP 2000 and the software will version will be listed in the top line of text.
If the console does not prompt you to update the DP 2000 you can manually do it by pressing and holding all three front panel buttons on the DP 2000 when powering up the unit. About 5-10 seconds after powering the DP 2000 you can release the three buttons.
