It is my understanding that Hog3 does not have dimmer profiling and you must use paths to accomplish the same thing, but I can't figure out how to design a custom path. For example: a linear path that starts at 100% and drops to 0% when the input is full. Or for example, a light that never goes below 30%. It starts at 30% when the input is 0 and increases linearly until it is 100% when the input is 100%. I have also used an "always full" path to turn on a circuit (e.g. scroller power) whenever the board is powered on and turn off otherwise. I cannot find a way to create a custom path. I'm thinking of something like the custom dimmer profiles you can create on Express/Expression, Strand 300, or any number of other low-end boards.
There are currently no custom paths implemeted....but I know it is in the enhancements list somewhere....it was in the old Hog-2 v4 BETA, but never released as "show-ready"
To do what you are asking you should simply set the minimum value to be 30% under Edit Fixtures in Patch.
Doesn't setting the minimum to 30% make all input values from 0-30% produce an output of 30%? That's different from linear from 30-100%. For example, in the former, 50%-in produces 50%-out, whereas the latter, 50%-in produces 65%-out.
You are correct that setting the min value will make the output be at 30% from 0-30%. We currently do not allow for custom paths, although you can limit the intensity in the patch window as a percentage. I understand that this will not accomplish your desire of ramping up from 30-100, but I wanted to make you aware of this option too.
I will log your suggestion for custom dimmer paths.
