I have a new Mac Mini that runs Parallels Desktop. When I download Hog3PC, it saves it to the Windows desktop, but when I open it, it goes into an endless cycle of asking what program I want to open it from. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
How is your parallels setup? Are you in coherence mode?
What is the name of the file that you are trying to open from the Windows desktop? Generally, for me at least, when I download Hog3PC, I download it in Safari on the Mac side and it puts it in my downloads folder. I then open Parallels and drag it from my download folder onto the Windows desktop.
When I click it, it runs just like any other Windows installation.
Maybe some screenshots (Command+Shift+3) might help.
Are you downloading the zip file in OSX or Windows? I have had some problems with OSX automatically unpacking the zip files and leaving them useless.
(If you have not done already) try downloading the files in Windows, and it should work.
If it does not, check whether the version of Windows you are using has a zip unpacking program installed (like winzip) - sounds obvious, but you never know...
Thanks for the advice, guys. I will mess with it more in the next day or so, and let you know what happens. My computer knowledge is kinda limited, and this is my first computer of my very own in a few years, so it takes me a while to figure things out.
