<bug that is from last few updates> concerning touchscreens

A little less than a year ago I brought up a problem with the touchscreens not enabling correctly and was told it would be fixed in the 1.3.0 update. I have a RHFB with two external ELO touchscreens that were suggested purchases from another thread. The console boots up properly when the externals are disconnected but the problem comes in when I plug in the externals. The externals activate but the internals do not activate, or rather do not turn on except for the touch, meaning that the touch is way off and has to be recalibrated again.

I don't think it is supposed to happen this way and I believe that I should be able to leave the externals plugged in and not have to unplug them every time I have to restart.

  • Brad,

The touchscreens are ELO ET1725L's. The DVI connector is a DVI-D (single link) on both. I checked out the VGA cables with two different types of DVI adapters (DVI-I Single Link and DVI-A) and the console does what it should so that part must have fixed it. I am confused as to why the straight DVI cables won't work though, if you have an answer for that. So I guess you can take this challenge off of your list.

    Thanks,
    Eric
