  • But look at the price of the new MA series 2.... Its astonomical. The full sizes weighs more than me! Atleast with a Hog 3 or anything below, you can get it out of the flightcase yourself.

Who cares? Nodody will use an MA 2 full size anyway. It doesn't matter how much it weighs, if your on a gig with an MA2, its going to be of a size that there be more than enough people to assist with lifting. And price, if MA2 does what it says on the tin then thats what people will want. Not a lot of LD's choose desk by their price - they choose it by what they like and what is reliable. That and the weight of a Hog 3 in a case is fairly considerable, if your lifting that on your own it may just be manageable, but its not doing your back any good...

Out of interest Joe, exactly how many shows have you programmed on a Hog3, with real world fixtures? You seem to be remarking on looks, new desks and prices, rather than what any other programmer would go for; which is familarity and reliability.
