Because the Wholehog libraries are based on the concept of an abstraction layer, they are very complicated to create. The Fixture Builder is built into the console software so that it is available whether on a laptop or a console. I don't really see the need for a stand alone app as no-one would be running this app that did not also have a need for Hog 3PC on their computer too...
Why do you feel an external app is better than having it as part of the entire software package as it is now?
i don't think an external editor is better then it is now; but - i want the ability to import/export fixtures on an easy way. And one nice function should be to build a library with only that fixtures i use the most.
I understand your desire for easier import/export. Ideally all the FPS built libraries should be perfect and availalbe and custom libraries rarely used. However I understand the need. We do have some concepts for the future that will help with library merging...
