I am having the same problem. It happens whenever it tries to write to that directory. I even tried installing the 3.0 iso for the ipc and adding it then. No Luck
hi Michael since your'e looking into the problem I just wanted to say that I reported the same issue here forums.highend.com/showthread.php?t=7055. As you're trying to narrow down the problem I thought it might have helped. Marco:hogsign:
After further investigation we have discovered the source of this issue to be related to the availability of system memory on certain motherboard types of the iPC console due to a higher than needed allocation of memory to the onboard video frame buffer. This is most common on iPCs with motherboard model A78NX-VM/400.
iPC users experiencing this problem should do the following procedure: 1. Attach a keyboard to the console and power on the console. 2. During the boot process, press the DEL or DELETE key to enter the BIOS settings screen. 3. When prompted to enter the BIOS password, enter: hesipc. The BIOS Setup Utility will open. 4. Navigate to the advanced tab, select the chipset, and change the video frame buffer size to 8MB. 5. Press F10 to Save changes and exit the BIOS Setup Utility. 6. Once saved, the console will boot as normal and you should now be able to install v3.0.1 of Hog3PC.
Hi Chris. I did follow all the instructions given and I was able to successfully install the latest version of hog3pc. Thanks for your support. Marco:hogsign:
Hi Chris, Thanks for the fix! I hadn't reported the bug but we had same problem with 1 of our iPC's with the A78NX-VM/400 motherboard. The other iPC has different motherboard and I had no problem installing v3.0.1.
