I 'attempted' to update my console (H3) this morning from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2, using the upgrade package (vs the full installer) -- at the end of the update, it said the update could not be completed, try again with a current wholehog disk. Restarted the console and all I got was the X in the middle of the screen. After pulling the drive out and swapping it (to recover my show files that I should have backed up to CD prior to upgrading, yeah, I know) -- I tried again, doing a full console install from my 3.0.0 disk, then upgrade to 3.0.1 (successful), then upgrade to 3.0.2 (Failed). Same error. Tried a tried time with a new download from the website assuming maybe something was jacked with the filed I downloaded. Same issue.
I then tried a full install from 3.0.0, upgrade to 3.0.1, then did an upgrade from the PIG menu when the console boots, using a new 3.0.2 image disk, and that oddly worked. Any ideas what could have been going wrong?
