Upgrade problem

Am having problems upgrading to 3.0.5

have the fpspkg file which downloads with the suffix .gz.

have tried burning this to a cd from my mac laptop - console says no files found. have tried burning this to a cd from windows (on my mac laptop - console says no files found.

tried un-archiving the gz, mac and windows (parallels) this produces a folder without the fpspkg extension.

tried deleting the .gz to leave .fspkg - console finds the file but then says some part of the upgrade failed.

getting a bit bored of wasting all these CDs.......

  • I have had the same problems when downloading from the mac. I solved this by downloading on a PC using explorer. I actually did this running VMWare on my mac. The PC strips the right stuff and makes it a working upgrade file.

I then could burn it using the mac and toast or any other burning program.

Just renaming the file does not work.

Wish they would offer the upgrade in a zip file or something for us mac people.
