Could using a USB flash drive over 2GB cause a Hog IPC to crash? I tried to use a 4GB "PNY Attache" that had just been formatted FAT32 to upgrade from a full install of 3.04 to 3.05. As soon as I plugged in the flash drive the program crashed. I got a windows blue screen that told me there was a driver error. After that I received a windows error when I powered the desk reset.
I have used an 8gig flash drive many times in your iPC's. I don't know what manufacture it is, its just a microcenter branded one. It might be a faulty drive or maybe they just don't like those PNY's.
Does the flash drive work in a normal windows computer? If it does there should be no need for special drivers. However if you do need drivers on the windows computer, that would explain the behavior.
If you see the message Eric left in my thread here...
it works fine with windows. It could have been a fluke but I've just decided not use the stick anymore. it could be a sign of problems to come with the thing.
