proper method for upgrading software

Hey all, just wondering if you guys/gals have any tips/tricks for upgrading an IPC from 2.6 - 3.0.2 ??

Which files do I go with first? Can I do it all from a USB stick?

Take a look at this:

You will need to make a bootable USB drive per the instructions and then use the XPe image for the upgrade from www.flyingpig.com/phpscripts/hogipc/recovery.php which contains all of the files that you need, IPC config panel, Hog2PC and Hog3PC.

Actually Hog iPCs must use a CD for re-imaging the HDD. Full install/restore via USB is only possible on RH & RHFB consoles.

Make sure you have backed up any showfiles externally as the entire HDD will be erased and then re-written with the new software.

You will need your console's serial number to access the download page.

Full burning instructions and install instructions are available on the website as well.
