DP8000 is very hot to the touch??

Anybody feel that DP8000 is very hot to the touch??

  • The DP8000 tries to run the fans as little as possible for noise reasons. It will run quite a bit warmer than a DP2000. As long as the side vents aren't obstructed and the filter is clean, it will adjust it's own cooling.

    In a cool room, with relatively little load, the fans will be off. As it starts to warm up, the front and back fans will run at low speed, and ramp up with temperature. If it's still too warm the middle fan will start running. Once the temperature reaches a certain point, all three fans will be running at full speed.

    You can monitor the the thermal parameters using the "Diagnostic" window in the DP8000 setup on the console. Values that are too high will show up in red.
