I get the concept, I'm just not sure I understand the why.
The whole idea of a palette is that you can edit it at a later point and thereby "update" a large number of cues without having to go back and check them.
Colour Picker selections are not editable by their very nature (nor should they be), so if you know from the onset that you are not going to go back and edit something, why reference it in the first place?
