I have had HogPC on my desktop for years now, but I haven't used it in a while. Now I'm trying to update to 3.1.3 and it won't let me because , since the last time I've used it my machine has updated itself to service pack 3 and windows is telling me that hogPC requires SP2. It gives me the same message if I try to uninstall. Any suggestions?
So I'm halfway there. This did solve my problem with installing the latest build. I was able to uninstall the previous version and then install the latest. It does attempt to launch, but the loopback adapter is not working and it cant find a network or server to start from. Do I even still need the loopback adapter? When I go to the Network options in the control panel, I have no access to choosing a network adapter to use.
The Loopback Adapter is gone in V.3. software. What o/s is on your PC, XP or Vista? Try disabling all Windows Network Adapters except for 1 Local Area Network. Disable any wireliess, blue tooth etc and see if that helps. Also disable any and all Firewalls you may have installed on the PC.
Ok. I disabled the Loopback. I'm running XP Pro SP3. I disabled my Antivirus and I was able to launch the show when using default IP address and DHCP on. Still having problems with custom IP address and DHCP off. Is that the nature of the beast when programming offline? Also, I assume that if I load a show built on an actual Hognet with DP2000s, I have to clone the DPs to the DP8000 in order to see values in the output, right?
