Roadhog b2773 - touchscreen calibration/external monitor

I just did an upgrade (full image) on a clients show and now whenever the console boots, he has to re-enable the external monitor and recalibrate....EVERY time.

3.1.6. (2773)
Image Version - 1.6.0
RH Front Panel Driver - 1.0.0.18
FH Front Panel Serial - 400
RH Front Panel Firmware Vers: 1
Internal Super Widget Serial - 3278

USB-VGA Adaptor
USB Keyboard

Upon boot, have to re-enable external monitor in Control Panel
Upon boot, have to re-calibrate touch screens every time

Before the upgrade, he had only had to recalibrate once and the external monitor was always working.

  • Hey Jon,

Here's the deal on this one and it is kinda sucky. IOGear rev'd their USB/VGA adapter about a year ago and with that rev came a required driver update that supports both the new and old rev of the device. You can tell if you have one of the new rev adapters because the new ones have "DisplayLink Certified" written on them.

So here's the issue. The new driver that supports both the "DisplayLink Certified" rev and first rev of the adapter doesn't load fast enough for our application to pick up and detect as a third monitor... so we don't have an external monitor ready to enable when the Hog3PC application starts on the Road Hog... and since touchscreen calibration is based on total screen landscape, this throws off calibration as well.

The good news is that if you have the older rev adapter (does not have "DisplayLink Certified" written on it) you can image your Road Hog to Restore Image v1.4.0 (contains the older adapter driver, with Hog3PC v3.1.0) and then upgrade Hog3PC to v3.1.6 or v3.1.7 and it should work as expected where the monitor stays enabled and calibrated through reboot.

If you have a newer rev of the adapter (says "DisplayLink Certified" on the device) then at this point I don't have a solution for you as the newer required IOGear driver is not playing nicely at bootup.
