Unknown archive version

Interesting. I've seen this before but it's never been fully explored. If you load the archive and re-back up in 3.1.7 you should see the description show up again.

...not possible to load the file:

"Archive Type-Show" not found at "D:\Runtime\Documents and Settings \Administrator\My Documents\FlyingPigSystems\Hog3PC\Show\NAME

This will happen if you attempt to load off the USB stick as well?

...hmmm...load off ?...sorry, i don´t know what you mean...

- the last 6 mounth, i saved every backup file to the flash drive
- from the flash drive, i saved it to a backup folder on my laptop
- for the software install, i made the flash drive bootable, so i lost
the backup files, but cause i saved it on the laptop, i thought...no problem..

- now i load the backup files from the laptop back to the flashdrive and from the flash drive back in the desk...there i get the above described messages/problems...:(

Okay, that's what I was mentioning. Please upload one of the failing backups to me at upload.highend.com and we can look at the failure and see if the shows got corrupted or otherwise.

...my file size 3,5MB...and when i tried to upload again, i get the message:

ERROR: Operation cancelled-file already exists...:rolleyes:

Well, these are certainly not healthy backups.

Do you regularly run an anti-virus application or file scanner on your windows machine? I am suspicious that they were either damaged in file transport or by a file sniffing app that might have opened the tar.gz up and messed with the integrity of the file.


I am going to have development try and see if they can be repaired or at least find out what went wrong.

- i run kaspersky internet security
- backups till april works fine, since may, they seems to be corrupt...i installed every new update after release..

..i think, now i`ll test every backup after saving to laptop...but the lost backups hurts very :aiwebs_007:...some of them are shows, i need again...

..oh, i found something interesting:

- i copied the whole backup folder to flash drive and load it in the desk
- every well backup shows at "created" the day, i made the backup
- every corrupt file shows at "created" the date of today...

??...helps...??

When you originally made the backups you did use the backup utitlity in the shows window correct and not just copy the show file over to a flash drive? The developers were telling me that there were lots of parts missing from the archives that wouldn't load.

...i do/did it always only with the backup tool and get always the "backup successful" message...:(
