Effect speed master?

Hi folks,

Just wondering if there's a technique I've overlooked to map the speed or size of an effect to a submaster fader in Hog3?

In other words, to approximate the effect of a Speed Group Master on the MA.

Anyone?

Thanks!

  • Record your first cue with size at 0. Record your second cue with size at whatever level you need it to be. Set your fader as crossfade. When you cross fade from cue 1 to cue 2 you size is increasing accordingly. If you need to change your speed, press the choose button of your master and spin the encoder to the rate you need! This way you're controlling size and rate independently.
    Hope this helps!
  • or:

record just the effect without a base value (for example just SIN on pan), ste the fader to crossfade IFCB, thats it...
    speed down like marco said
  • With IPCB fader you have size and rate together.
The higher the fader the faster and the bigger the effect.
I always prefer having size and rate separated!

i always do it like this for pan/tilt efx
recording just effect without any base values...
    and it works perfect.
changing the size with the fader and the speed by press and hold the choose-button
