Intensity Effect Problem

Programming a theatre show. I have an intensity effect for 16 dimmer fixtures that is recorded on a CueList 8. CueList 8 is not on any of the masters. In the main cuelist for the show, I am triggering the effect with macro command and releasing it on the next cue with a macro. When I first fire up the system and we run the show, the effect does not trigger. If I go to the cuelist itself and select it, it will run. After I do this and go back and run the show, it seems to work.

I went into cuelist options for list 8 and set it to reset on release, but that did not help either.

My concern is that the board operator that will be running the show and pushing "go" won't know how to check this before the show to make sure it works and I think I might still have something set incorrectly. I was thinking that I could set the cuelist to htp. Not sure if this is what is needed and will test tonight before the show, but wanted to get some other ideas to check for from anyone.

Thanks,
Ross

  • Ross,

I see the two playback bars. The main "Console" bar only has your "Main WW" cuelist. The second bar has a number of playbacks assigned including two HTP masters on 9&10.

You should be able to permanently hide the second playback bar by going to Setup -> Control Panel -> Wings then click on the button to the far right of "Playback Bar 1" so that it is NOT pushed in. Then close the control panel. This should make the panel not visable even after you log off and back on to the show file. This is a console setting and should not change until you change it again.

However... be aware that you have two HTP lists, which means that without a wing attached they will follow the virtual fader settings in Preferences. Go to Setup-> Preferences -> Virtual Faders and you will see that your show file has the virtual faders set to UP for Playback bar 1. So these two HTP faders will always be locked ON since you do not have a real wing attached. This might be causing problem you see, although I did not see them here with the same settings. You should change the setting to DOWN and press Apply or OK so that those faders are not locked on.

Are you still seeing the problem you originally reported with Cuelist 8?

feel free to take this off the forums and email me at brad.schiller (at) barco.com if you wish...
