Multiple Console Behavior

I'm interested to know if there's a resource somewhere that explains the rules and behaviors of multiple consoles running on the same show. I've scoured the manual and only see the brief discussion on failover and tracking. Is there a document in existence or a plan for an addendum to the manual?

Thanks for any enlightenment!

  • Hi Gideon,

Basically in a network system where there are two servers, the server to log on first is considered the "primary". This doesn't mean a whole lot to the end user as all server consoles in the system have the same ability and level of control.

In terms of playback, everything is shared and run LTP style, so moving faders on console A will unlock the faders on console B and vice versa and whoever moves last wins.
