Hog Software Problem.

am new to the forums here and have recently purchased this the hog3 pc.:hogsign:
I recently purchased one of the black Hog DMX Units l was sent a loan unit same model and it worked fine and sent it back when l recieved mine that was shipped to me and l seem to be having problems with the software that came with it version 3.2.3(b3367) and it connecting it seems to crash and never gets passed the wholehog control system log on this unit has'nt logged on at all l run the same software diffrent system and the blue old unit and it seems to run fine.Can anyone help me with this problem or point me in the right dirrection.l am running windows 7 Ultimate l have read alot of the treads on the forum and cant see the same problem except with old os's realeased before xp. l also tested the loan unit and it worked fine and my out of the box unit l paid for does'nt seem to respond except the active light is on and its the drivers are installed properly also.

    Make sure you have at least one fixture patched.
    Also make sure you have assigned the Widget a DMX Universe to output.

    Failing to do either or both of these will keep the widget in a "sleep"-like state with only the link LED lit.

    No its not that kinda problem its on the load up l installed fresh on my laptop using xp behind me and the same on windows 7 ultimate and when you install off the cd sent with the current build out of the box it wont load on windows 7 no matter what netork address,dhcp,detect automaticaly in the network settings in the control pannel.It just boots errors and freezes on loading desktop state or whatever both on the same router in windows.l wrote a message to HES cause l need to have this problem sorted when using it on different windows 7 meachines,l cant just use it with xp.Thanks for your help marty if you have any other ideas please let me know much appreciated mate.

    I wrote as following to HES,

    l seem to be having problems with using this dongle on windows 7 l have read all the forums and done everything that has been said the dicussion in forums.highend.com/archive/index.php/t-12466.html is the similar if not the same problem resintalling does not fix this problem with the new dongles that have been released they work with window xp but not windows 7.I was'nt told this when l bought the dongle why does the build fail to load on windows 7 and not xp?

    See what answers they can give me to fix this problem.l'll put it on my mac and test it too and see if l get the same problem if its mac compatiable.

    l’ve researched a fair bit about this even when l reinstall ,redownload install,Launch New Start and follow the normal method anyone would run a show it gets stuck, save file under any name or default ,pick any fixture file and the console control system says tarting server,then running, in the control system window then lauching playback process, then laughing playback process, then adding dp8k process 1 and it gets stuck there.If l change anything in the settings it wont log on.
    It also sometimes disables DHCP in my network and the network adapter in windows crashes and causes it to disconnect from being online.:phone:

    Hi Grant,
    Can you confirm.
    -All Anti-Virus software is totally disabled.
    -No other network connections active,so any wireless or ethernet connectors are disabled and not just off.
    -Can you start Hog III PC with the widget disconnected from your machine.

    l gave that a go cormacjack and it did'nt work just said server not responding.l've tried a few methods someone else had been emailing me and they dont seem to work either.

    All anti-virus and internal firewalls are off?
    Wireless is disabled(not just off)
    Widget disconnected for now.
    Just trying to do the obvious first.

    l think its a windows problem with the dual boot system l am using l seem to have fixed the problem after trying everything that was said to me via email to one of the HES staff and found the problem myself all is good thanks for the help.
