My Hog 3 console will not boot up. the screens stay off and all of the choose buttons on the playback side flash 3 times pretty quick. then keeps repeating that cycle.
When the Wholehog III console is first turned on, the motherboard starts running the bootloader from ROM. The bootloader initializes the front panel and checks to determine what keys are pressed (if any). If the front panel hasn't heard from the motherboard within about 30 seconds of power-on, it starts flashing the choose keys to let you know something is wrong.
This could be caused by a lot of different conditions, so you'll have to do some troubleshooting. It could be as simple as a loose data cable between the motherboard and the front panel. Check the main power supply voltage, and the 12v and 5v power.
If all of the connections and power seem OK, try connecting an external monitor to the VGA ports on the back. Does it display the HogIII logo when you power on? This will tell you if the motherboard is starting up.
