RHFB v3.2.3 server crash

Has any body else encountered the server crashing when a DP8000 is plugged in or when it is unplugged from a RHFB running v3.2.3?

There are times when I am working on the show before my data rack is powered up, when it does get powered up sometimes the server or desktop or both stop responding. likewise when the data rack is powered down and I'm still working on the desk.

  • My thinking is that powering up/down your rack is establishing/destroying a network link on the Full Boar's Hog net link which in turn causes the console to switch to an auto-ip loopback address. We test against this and usually it does not cause a single problem but switching adapter state is tricky for a real time application like Wholehog. If you run a test where you just sit there and unplug/replug the network cable from your running rack do you get the same crashes/hangups?
