Hello,
I've been working on a new project for a few weeks now and have rebuild an old hog 3 console to use it with video, this means that except for the chassis and front panel, all electronics are replaced, new motherboard, new graphics card, screens, connectors PSU and so on.
As the chassis is still a HOG 3 of course I would love to have the front panel working with the software I will use (Resolume Arena) but this is giving me a headache, the panel is installed with High-end drivers, it's seen by windows in the device manager as a high end systems front panel, the trackball is working perfectly but there it stops.
When using a USB analyzer I can see that the panel is sending out information when a button is pressed or a fader moved, but there is no way to connect it to anything in Windows, let alone Arena, and while I have looked into this with some pretty nerdy friends with knowledge it's still some kind of enigma why this is so hard to achieve.
The only option left now for me is to have someone write a whole new driver for it but that is a costly and time consuming process, so before I get into that, I thought I drop a question here to see if there is anyone in the ETC community that is willing to point me in the right direction, knows what protocol is used or how this can be done.
It would be greatly appreciated!
