I am trying to use Smartsoft with Windows 8 and connect console and PC, but I am not having any luck.
Has anyone tried to do so?

with the eos offline editor there was in an older version the problem, that you had to start the program with "Run as Administrator" when using win7 and win8. maybe that will help? but anyway, i don't think win8 is an officially supported OS for your software
