Smartfade 2.0 DMX

Hi Mark-

The SmartFade does indeed output DMX, so most anything that will accept DMX can be run from the desk. Please keep in mind that the SmartFade is not designed to run moving lights - the SmartFade ML is designed for exactly that purpose, however.

Sorry there isn't a video. But the one that covers patching would be very helpful to you. Patching is how you decide what each slider will control. That and the equipments DMX address.

Smoke/fog/wind/strobe machines often use the Independent buttons. If you are looking for simple on/off then they are ideal. Independent means that they aren't affected by the other things going on. If you need variable control then you'll need to use one of the regular channels.

If this is confusing you might look into the instructions for your lights and smoke.
