I apologize in advance. I am self taught and struggle with the ETC terminology.
I have a Smartfade 2496 that I have patched so that the first 32 channels control groups of dimmers that are meaningful (e.g. Downstage Blue) to us.
I want to setup a scene comprising of those 32 channels each with their own intensity and somehow record it to bring up in a show using one of the remaining 16 channels. Then, while that scene is active, dynamically pile on with one or more of the patched dimmers (e.g. center spot, upstage blue ...).
To my reading, I think snapshots will let me assign up to 10 of these "base scenes" on the remaining 16 channels. But I read about Memories and I'm wondering if I should use Memories or Snapshots.
Will Snapshots let me pile on as I describe?
What's the difference between Snapshots and Memories?
