Arduino Based Gadget?

Years ago I used an arduino, a wii-chuck and a DMX chip to control a moving light. So I was wondering if it would be possible to build a arduino based gadget? Seems like it would be easy, if there is a way to read the dmx output over USB. Thanks!

ETC need to keep selling hardware to pay for the free software upgrades/development, so I hope no development time is spent in losing hardware sales.

Eos consoles only output DMX over USB with a real gadget. I don't think you could get an arduino to pretend to be a gadget.

Hope that ETC will open the DMX over USB port for open source projects.

I think ETC earns much money with selling their expensive consoles, not with stuff like Gadget.
