I have gotten a Teensy 3.5 to make this project. I am starting with just the lighthack USB test sketch, and that is working fine running nomad on my PC, however, ideally I'd like this to work natively on any console, as I'm looking use the encoders with a Windows 7 Element and a wIndows 7 Ion.
I plug in the teensy to the Ion and get absolutely no response from the board diagnostics, not even recognition of a USB device. From what I've seen, this is because the PID and VID need to be changed to spoof an UNO, but I have absolutely no idea how to do that. Can someone give me a walkthrough?
I'm getting this error three times three consecutive times before a handshake on my nomad system:
HIM HidD_GetAttributes failed with error 1168
Not sure if this has anything to do with the issue or not
You can change the PID/VID in boards.txt of the teensy hardware folder. When using PlatformIO have a look to the forum, there is a description how to do this at the .ini fileHopping that ETC will support Teensy ans Raspberry Pico on the next release for consoles.
This file? where are the pid and vid settings for a teensy 3.5? or do I just add a line like there is for the 3.1?
Which IDE, WIN or Mac?
Which IDE? Classic Arduino or the new Arduino IDE or PlatformIO.
This is the right file, Arduino UNO have VID 2341 and PID 0043
I have the new Arduino IDE
In the moment there is no real support for Teensy at the new v2 IDE.
what about the 1.8 one, does that work? IS there a way to edit the pid/vid in that?
