I have been showing a red number in the lightning bolt area of my notifications for a long time with nothing in it after reading all the new posts. it's up to 8 now. There are no unread posts in it. ???

If you visit https://community.etcconnect.com/user/notifications do you see any unread posts listed in the full list?
Alternately, if you wait until you do have an unread notification and then click the mark all as read check box in that menu does it clear the unread count?
